Krissy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with five years of experience working with an array of clients. Krissy began her career working with first time, at-risk parents and their infants and toddlers providing in-home emotional support, educational resources, and tools to succeed, and transitioned to a clinically therapeutic role in community mental health. Krissy works with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, stress, life changes and transitions, family and relationship issues, among other concerns that may impact your daily life who seek balance, understanding and peace. Krissy is passionate about being part of the process of creating the life you desire and deserve, and believes working collaboratively with individuals through goal-setting, empowerment and unconditional support is the key to making the necessary changes you need to experience life improvements. Krissy utilizes a combination of techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help support you through change and recognize your true potential. Krissy also strives to foster a safe space to help you strengthen your relationship with yourself and others through implementing positive and affirming self-talk and developing new ways to view the world you occupy. "We all deal with life in our own unique way, and sometimes, we may have a hard time coping with, understanding and adjusting to the hand we've been dealt. As your therapist, my goal is to provide a space for you to acknowledge and process difficult emotions, learn new ways to cope, boost your confidence, and just allow you to be, you. A therapeutic relationship may be what you've been missing."
